Elder Law Attorney Constance RenziConstance Burnett Renzi

Connie is the Managing Partner for the Elder Law Center, P.C. and concentrates her practice in all areas of elder law; long-term care and Medicaid planning, estate planning, disability planning, and powers of attorney/living wills. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Law, a frequent lecturer to lay persons and to other attorneys for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Education, and has written various articles on disability planning, estate planning and various elder law topics. She is also a Partner with the law firm of Mickey, Wilson, Weiler, Renzi & Andersson, P.C.

Connie is a Past President of the Illinois Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, a Past Chairperson of the Association's Elder Law Section Council and a co-editor of the Elder Law Newsletter. She is also a member of the Kane County Bar Association, and serves on several charitable organizations.

Connie has been named an Illinois Leading Lawyer in Elder Law by her peers. To be named a Leading Lawyer is the result of thousands of contacts with Illinois lawyers asking them which of their peers they believe comprise the top lawyers. Only those lawyers who are most often recommended qualify as a Leading Lawyer. Connie is the only elder law attorney in Aurora who has received this prestigious nomination.

 

Steven A. Andersson

Partner Steven A. Andersson is a Member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 65th district located in northwestern Kane County and southern McHenry county.  Steven assumed office on January 1, 2015.  Steven serves on several key committees that influence the direction of state policy affecting individuals, local government and small business.  The committees are: 1)  Cities and Villages, 2) Small Business Empowerment and Workforce Development, 3) Transportation, 4) Renewable Energy, 5) Judiciary, 6) Appropriations and 7) Museums.

In addition to being a Partner with the Elder Law Center, P.C, he is also a Partner with parent firm Mickey, Wilson, Weiler, Renzi & Andersson, P.C. He often represents individuals and their families with estate planning issues and in planning for their long-term care needs. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University's College of Law, magna cum laude and regularly speaks on long-term care and Medicaid issues to community groups, medical and professional education programs, and is a lecturer for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Education.

Steven is a Past President of the Kane County Bar Association, a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Illinois Chapter of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, State and Federal Bar Associations, and serves on several charitable organizations.

Attorney Catherine LenertCatherine E. Lenert

Catherine is a Partner with the Elder Law Center, P.C. and Mickey, Wilson, Weiler, Renzi & Andersson, P.C. She is a graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law where she received the CALI Award for Highest Grade in Law, Literature and Feminism and Political Asylum and Refugee Law Seminar.

Before joining the firm, Catherine was a staff attorney for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit in Kane County.

Catherine is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Kane County Bar Association and she was a presenter at the 2010 Kane County Bar Association Spring Family Law Seminar.
